OOTD & Ways to Wear a White Shirt

I met up with my best friend yesterday and we decided to go into town for something to eat and have a catch up. Had a great selection of tapas and even a glass or two of rose ;-) I couldn't think what to wear as I didn't want to get glammed up but wanted to change out of my work clothes. Eventually I decided on my oversized white shirt over leggings with black heels and a smart blazer. Sounds quite dull but I love this shirt as its so comfortable and its a great thing just to throw on when you can't think what to wear. It has roll-up sleeves, a granddad collar and a crosshatch pattern so its not completely plain anyway!

It got me thinking about the humble white shirt. I don't normally wear white and this shirt is quite a recent aquisition however it is probably one of my most worn items in my wardrobe. A white shirt is so versatile as you can make it look great in the office or even at the beach. I think you need to know which style suits you best so I have put together a couple of ideas.

I narrowed it down to oversized, fitted and sleeveless styles. The oversized shirt looks best with leggings or skinny jeans to balance it out. I love the tan accessories especially this skinny belt which highlights the waistline. The fitted shirt looks quite smart and would be great for work, I had added pink accents to make it a bit more girly. Finally, the sleeveless shirt I can imagine would be great item to take on holiday, shorts, floppy hat and gladiator sandals completes the sort of 'tourist' look.
Which is your favourite?

My favorite is the oversized. I'm wearing it a lot too. It's comfy but also pretty.
